What is Equestrian Showjumping?

The exciting equestrian sport of Showjumping sees horse & rider compete over a set of fences that can be easily knocked down. Showjumping is one of the three equestrian sports and features in the Olympics.

The best showjumpers display a combination of athleticism, accuracy and focus in order to achieve the elusive clear round. The combination that gain the least penalty points in the best time win the class.

Show jump designs are usually brightly coloured and interesting. Each showjump comprises of sets of wings, fillers, planks and poles, and a showjumping course can also include elements such as water jumps or walls.
